August Tag Swap

Happy Monday y'all!!  Here's my tag that I made for the August Tag Swap.  I used all SU products, except the chipboard, which was from the MANY cereal boxes in my house ;).  I first put the glitter on the snowflake, but the glitter is so chunky, I couldn't tell it was a snowflake.  I just adhered it backwards, so you can see the glitter peeking out from the other side.  It was not a mistake, my partner, honest.
Take care everyone, and see you soon :D

Soccer season is upon us!!

Happy Aloha Sunday (Go NY GIANTS!)!!!  Well, this is my first year that I have two keiki playing in AYSO, and we have had three games each so far.  All the games are one after the other, what's the chances, right?!!  What's even more fun is that one keiki has her games in Waimanalo, and the other keiki has her games in Enchanted Lake.  The two locations can be 15 minutes away or can stretch to one hour away, depending on the time and traffic.  Yup, it can be one challenging day, and already we have had to drive two separate cars...I know there are a bunch of parents that can relate :).  Anyways, I was snack mom yesterday, and I wanted to put something special in their lunch bags, so I decorated a whole bunch of notebooks I got from Office Max, and put my favorite Soccer Anya digi stamp.  I decided not to color it because girls at the age of five and six really enjoy coloring, so I left it for them.  I only had to make six, but made eight, just in case.  Gotta love the digi images, so easy to use.  See ya later, have a blessed day :D

August OCS!!!

Aloha!  I am having soo much fun with this OCS, and then now with this tag swap.  My partner was from da big Big Isle, and she is super talented.  You'll really enjoy her blog, I promise.  I loving having the card in person, pictures just don't do justice.  Here it is above...I met her at one of Teri's classes, and it was so much fun to have her as a partner.

Here's my card.  I used Washi paper that I picked up from Marukai.  It was so pretty, I didn't want to cover it with a huge image, so I went with yoko and ono KETTO from Stamping Bella.  Rhinestones are from Stampin Up, so glad they are doing BLING.  I tried crinkling the ribbon with the embossing gun, but I was afraid I was gonna set the whole thing on fire, hee, hee.
Inside is a sentiment from SU also.  How's that pearl brad?  Isn't it pretty!  Got it from my fav online store:  Tamikos.  Go check it out, she is great!  See ya all tomorrow...plan is to show you the cool tags that I got from my partner.
Also, gotta work on my husband's anniversary card.  Aloha 'oe and have a great Monday.

My first Challenge!!

This is my first challenge that I am doing, and it is sooo much fun.  This challenge is at Karber's blog, and you can find it here.  I needed to make a card for my daughter's classmate birthday.  I totally forgot that the more kids you have the more birthday parties you have to attend, oh well, more reasons to create. :D.  Here's my card...I got the image from Karber, and I love how easy it is to use digital images.  The two sentiments are from Stampin Up, and they make bling bling brads, yippee!!  My next challenge is Tamiko's.
Have a great crafting day, and wish us luck, today is all about SOCCER!!  Bye, My

Party Time with Kadie

Aloha, everyone!!  Kadie is having a big celebration, and check out what she is giving away.  She looks really talented, and I haven't had a chance to check out her posting, but from what I've seen, looks great.  Thanks Joni for sharing the info.  Until we blog again...  :)

I am so blessed!!!

I know I say this often, but I really am.  I went to this Island Girls social, put on by Teri and other angels, and sponsored by Tamiko.  It really was a great opportunity to meet our fellow blogging sisters, and "talk story" (as we say it here in Hawaii nei).  Mahalo nui loa from the bottom of my heart to all you ladies.  I had so much fun, and I am always in awe of the talented women we have here.  I got to meet the creator of Dandelion stamps, Jean, and I have been a fan of her work for a long time.  I was acting giddy, of course, and will post a pix when I get one.
We got to shop at Tamiko's, and it was heaven.  Get your butt over there now, and do some shopping.  She's got great stuff.  We got this cute pink bag, and check out the goodies we got, shown above.  There were four make & takes, and I only got a pix of one of them.  That panda is adorable.  Gotta love that 3M self adhesive paper, made putting that panda together really easy.  This card is really making me want a cricut.
Don't tell my husband ;) hee, hee.  That's all for now, will be back tomorrow to show you the August OCS and tag swap.  Have a blessed day!!!  Also, please be patient with me, I am fairly new to this blogging world, so I promise my pixs will be better in the future.  I take any suggestions, my experts that follow me :D.  Aloha 'oe, see you tomorrow, and go BJ PENN (sorry big fight tomorrow on pay per view)!!!

My first OCS (June)!!!

I cannot believe that this is my first OCS and I missed out on all the fun all these months.  It was really cool to receive something other than bills and junk mail.  Thanks Linda for putting it together.  I totally scored because I had Teri as a partner.  She is one of the kindest person I know.  I got a shaker card from her, and my girls love playing with it (even me too).

I sent my card for her today, so she should get it by Monday.  I forgot to take a pix, oh well...
I hope everyone enjoys their Sunday.  God bless you and yours!!!

It's been too long!!

Aloha, friends!!  I have my first post in a couple of months...It was my friend's daughter's first birthday party (baby luau as we call it here in Hawaii) on Friday, and I made a card.
I also decorated the inside, which was inspired by Teri.
I was so on a roll that I even decorated the envelope.  Those sticky letters from Stampin Up make it really easy to add glitter to the letters.
The food was sooooo 'ono (delicious).  Everything was homemade, from the laulau to the poi to the chicken long rice, I can go on and on....I'm drooling already!!

On another note...I had a great time at Teri's class on Saturday.  I love Teri's creativity, and so blessed that I can attend in person.  All the ladies are fun too.  You can go to her blog to see all the cute cards we made.
Just a little shout out to Ms. Joy.  I knew she was creative, but she works super duper fast.  She was able to come up with an idea, just like that, and in less than a minute, her creation is done.  She helped me make this uber cute shaker card. Thanks, Joy, and I told you I was gonna put it on my blog, hee, hee.  Also, I have discovered Nestibilities, don't own any yet, I know so behind, but soon.  Okay, enough fun, gotta make dinner and try do some P90X (yah right about that last part).  Until next time, aloha 'oe and keep crafting!!!

Hoku turns 4 years old!!!

Aloha!  As I wait for the cupcakes to bake for Hoku, who turns 4 on Sunday, I made a quick card.  You know, when they are four, they recognize certain cartoon characters and Hello Kitty is one of them, so I did one with HK on the front.  My whiskers small kine crooked, but you get the idea ;).  Teri always does the inside of her cards, so I thought why not!  The little blings are from Stampin' Up, and I'm hoping the new catalog has more bling!
Just a shout out to Craft Project Central.  I did one of their projects as a baby shower gift, and it was so easy.  Sadly, I didn't have time to take a picture, but go to the website.  It is one of the March projects.  Go, go check um, go check um, go!!  Have a blessed crafting day.  Thanks for stopping by.  Aloha to you and yours!

No crafty post today....

I am so sorry that all you had to see for the past few days was my littlest keiki's foot...It's been one roller coaster of a couple weeks with Easter.  I will be back shortly.  In the meantime, I went to check-out the new Sanrio cafe in Pearlridge, and I have to say it is soooo cute!!!  The desserts are great because they are the same people from Cafe Laufer in Kaimuki.  I made my hubby take a pix of me eating a dessert, and I'll post it later.  The official opening is this weekend, and it's gonna be CRAZY, so I went yesterday for the "soft" opening as they called it.  I know all them HK lovers (like Jodi ) will love the store part of it too because they expanded that part too.  Going to the store makes me appreciate Hello Kitty, even though my first loves have always been My Melody and Little TwinStars....Have a blessed crafty day!!!  Me ke aloha, Myra

Another idea for rhinestones...

If you have keiki (children in Hawaiian), then you know how they get "itchy" fingers, meaning they like to touch EVERYTHING.  So, my 2 yr old got a hold of my rhinestones and you can see what she did with it.  It just cracked me up, and I had to share...

Baby Boy tags

It is one beautiful sunny Saturday in Hawaii nei!!  Tradewinds and sun, what a great combo :)!!  I have a baby shower to go to tomorrow, and my friend is making choco chip cookies.  I just needed to make the tags for them.  I kept it really simple because I have to make 30 (that's alot yah, just kiddin).  The gal's theme is jungle, so I thought I would use all the different animals from the Wild About You set.  I love that lion, and I don't know why I always think of babies when I see that set, but I do.  Teri, I borrowed your background idea for this card (you know the white towel), mahalo plenny.  Hope you enjoy it!!

Special Blogging Angels!!!

I want to say
MAHALO NUI LOA (thank you very much) to Joy for her sweet "shout out" on her blog.  That was very thoughtful of you.  Also, to all of you who have showed so much ALOHA to me.  I do appreciate your warm welcome.  I am working on adding some baby tags I have to make, but in the meantime, enjoy an angel from my 5 year old kidlet.  You all have been such angels to me in such a short period of time.  Hugs, Myra ;)

Baby Girl card

Aloha!  I hope you all are having a relaxing Sunday.  I made a baby girl card for a friend and her husband. When I think of teddy bears and stars, I think baby...Got this cute bear image from Joy (who's got a great inspiring blog btw), and I think she said she got if from Lily of the Valley (not sure).  Tried my hand at coloring with Copics, still learning, and thanks Tamikos for my pens, love them.  Get over there and order some cool stuff.
Please be patient with me because I am a "newbie" to this blog experience.  Share any comments on how I can be a better blogger.  You can e-mail me at honuhappy@gmail.com.
N e ways, hope you enjoy my card and have a blessed Sunday!

My very first post!!

Aloha everyone!  This is my first post.  I don't have anything crafty to post, but I did make these delicious chocolate chip pancake maple muffins from bakerella.  Just go here under breakfast...My four kidlets loved them.  Off to a birthday party, have a blessed Aloha Friday!!
